Built on a foundation of trust and collaboration, my practice is based on empowering clients to recognize and develop their own insight to create a sense of well-being. Believing in the resilient capacity of each individual, I support my clients’ focus on identifying their goals, working alongside them as they navigate their way forward.
With a lifelong background in both competitive athletics as an athlete, and a Nationally certified Coach, I have a deep respect for the power and potential in each individual. I coached highly competitive swimmers for 30 years, having been a competitive swimmer for 13 years of my own. A career highlight includes being a member of the 1991 NAIA Championship Women’s Swimming and Diving Team at SFU.
As the daughter of a career Firefighter, a Battalion Chief with the Vancouver Fire Department, I have a deep respect for the mental toll that the job of our first responders can take. I look forward to supporting the work of this integral part of our community.
Working with neurodiverse students from grades K-12 in both Coquitlam and Chilliwack school districts, I am relationship based in my approach to counselling, coaching, and interpersonal dynamics.
I am most proud of my role as Mom to my two adult daughters, who grew up in Port Moody. As a family, we have deep roots in the local community, for which I am grateful.
I am currently pending Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) certification by the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
